Thanks to its novel approach to drug education, the social enterprise, housed at the university’s Gold Coast campus, is the 2025 winner of the Financial Review Higher Education Awards in the Community Engagement category.
The not-for-profit is transforming youth substance education through gamified, evidence-informed programs. One exercise simulates the choices kids make at a house party, delivered through virtual reality headsets. Students are encouraged to talk through their experiences afterwards.
